Fighting Childhood Cancer through Art

Welcome to Art For A Cause

My Mission

I am a mother of 4 whose mission is to combine my two passions: Art and raising Childhood Cancer Awareness. I am passionate about helping children with this catastrophic disease and their families. For each painting commissioned, 10% of the price will go to Children's Cancer Research.

What I Offer

Portraits of your children that I paint or draw from your photograph. Every child is a blessing, and the portraits will reflect each child's inner beauty. I have painted portraits of children who are now angels, to keep their memory alive forever and for their families to cherish. Portraits are painted in oils or drawn in pencil and charcoal.

Credentials: I graduated from Loyola University in Chicago in 1992 with a B.A. in Communication. I briefly worked for Variety Club Children's Charities in Chicago, organizing special events for numerous charities benefitting the welfare of children with special needs.

In 1994 I returned to school to obtain an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Art had been an area of strength for me since my early childhood and I wanted to hone my skills. Although I majored in computer design, I took many life drawing courses and studied color and light theory. I have been painting in oils and acrylics ever since. I was accepted by a juried committee to display my art at the "Art in Your Eye" juried competition in Batavia, IL in 2008.
